The Statue of Sir Stamford Raffles, known as the founder of Singapore stands where he landed in 1819.

The Scenery has changed quite a bit since Stamford was down here. This is the Central Business District with Boat Quay in the foreground.

Boat Quay seemed awfully far away at this pint and I was getting thirsty..... Hence I used the Zoom and had something to look forward to....

A bit further down the river is the Fullerton Hotel located across from the Asian Civilizaton Museum where I took the picture from. The building used to be the Singapore General Post Office. The Bridge is apparently the oldest in Singapore. Built in Glasgow.

The UFO in the background is the new Supreme Court of Singapore. Picture is taken from the Padang and show the old court building in the foreground.

This is the Esplanade. Concert Hall and Theater. Magnificent buildings with the resemblance of 2 Microphones or 2 Durian fruits. Take your pick.

Outside the Fullerton Hotel (I am on the other side of the River now) there is this great stature of a bunch of boys playing in the river. Very lifelike and a true attraction.

This is the Asian Civilization Museum seen from across the river. This is where Lynne is going to be a guide.

Just before the river turns into a creek you find Clark Quay. Much the same as Boat Quay with Restaurants and bars, but slightly more up-class. Black Pepper crab at Jumbo Seafood here is highly recommended.

The towers in the back-ground is a reverse bungy set-up and No I have not been on it (yet)
